The Worcester Black History Project was thrilled to launch its inaugural Black History Cemetery Tour for first-generation matriculating students at Worcester State University this month.
This meaningful experience connected students to the rich, often untold stories of Black Worcester residents who shaped the city’s history. We’re proud to be part of creating opportunities for reflection, education, and celebration of Black heritage in our local community.

Black Faces in White Spaces
Join Dr. Nicole Overstreet, Shanez’e Johnson, Professor Maria O’Brien, and Xaulanda Thorpe for a panel discussion on June 17 at 7:00 PM to explore the Black experience at Predominately White Institutions (PWIs).
This discussion is inspired by The Niceties and is a collaboration between WCLOC Theater Company, the Worcester Black History Project, and Worcester Historical Museum.
